How to get most of your Law tutor

When studying with law tutors, it is important to keep in mind that the tutor is a facilitator and not the person who gives you all the answers. There are certain steps that you must take to make your and the tutor’s task easier. Here are some of the things you should do when studying from law tutors:

Always do the work

A tutor’s task is to take you along the way step by step to complete the whole curriculum. Cramming at the last moment won’t be helpful at all. A law tutor will assign tasks or readings that you have to complete before the next meeting.

Have the Questions ready

When you have to meet the law tutor, it is a good idea to make a list of all the important questions that you had to ask. Write them down and present them to your tutor and they will surely be glad to solve all your problems. Tutoring sessions are most effective when the task to be handled is presented at the very beginning so time is not lost and the tutor knows exactly what to focus on.

Establish a good relationship

It is important for the law tutor to know the students’ weaknesses and strengths. Make sure that you assess all the things that you need to be tutored for, rather than letting the tutor figure it out on their own. The tutor may be able to figure it out but realising something earlier gives more time for improvement and development. You should also be comfortable with your tutor. If you have a problem that you would like to bring to the tutor’s attention, let them know, if another tutor might be a better choice, do not hesitate. Say all that needs to be said.
